Prefered Roadmap

There are currently many roadmaps relating to PHP, but none of them are controlled by the project itself. There are a number of secondary projects now pulling developments in different ways. What is planned here is to provide a roadmap to a simple version of PHP which will provide the Long Term stability that was provided for many years. Much of the 'new features' being discussed are simply not neccessary for the vast majority of user web sites, so a 'SimplePHP' with simple security planning seems a much more logical development.
