PHP Surgery

Part of the current planning is to provide a service to convert sites between versions of PHP so that users who are not able to convert sites themselves can be brought forward so that their legacy material remains avilable. Many ISP's are still stuck with supporting legacy versions of PHP simply becuase they can't cope with the number of sites that break when moving to newer versions. It would be nice if there was some automatic software that reworked code, but the vast differneces in style of coding PHP has evolved over the years now requires a lot of manual intervention. Obviously some cost structure will need to be put in place, but this is very much currently "How long is a piece of string?" ... We simply don't know how much work is involved as it has not yet been quantified.
